Yes, I am aware that all the usual bunch of commentators, wise heads and major pollsters, are, with just three days to go, continuing to refer to the US Presidential election as being….“A very close race, too difficult to call, one way or the other”.
Maybe it’s just the fact that I am an inveterate dreamer, me being a March baby, my star sign, Pisces. But, let’s face it — after the disruptive level of politics that has afflicted the US for the best part of a decade, how else can anyone of right mind, seeking to live his or her life in a peaceful, successfully integrated democracy, like Australia; not wish for the downfall of a potential tyrant?
Donald Trump was, and remains — a rich man’s son, who, having tried his level best to piss his father’s massive fortune up against the walls of unsuccessful building projects across New York City, and similarly failed casinos on the Atlantic coast. Who, then became a TV show host, later elevated, far beyond his abilities in 2016, to become US President; found himself dismissed four years later — a one-term dysfunctional leader of the nation.
